ONE CART. CLEAR OWNERSHIP.

Give every order line the right destination.

A mixed cart should not become a copy-and-paste exercise. Anyweb designs supplier order routing around the items, destinations and purchasing rules that determine where each line can safely go.

01

Establish eligible sources for every item

Begin with an approved SKU-to-supplier map and destination rules. Some items are exclusive to one wholesaler; others can use a backup. Exclude discontinued, restricted or stale-stock sources before evaluating price. A cheap option that cannot ship is not a usable option.

  • Check pack sizes and minimum quantities
  • Keep supplier eligibility explicit
02

Choose the route using your tradeoffs

Preferred supplier, landed cost, cutoff time and parcel count can lead to different decisions. We make the priority order visible and explain why a source won. Shipping surcharges or split-cart costs may outweigh a lower item cost.

  • Use agreed cost inputs rather than guesses
  • Allow manual review for unusual freight
03

Split requests without losing the customer order

Keep one customer-order reference linked to each supplier request and its line quantities. A retry should resume the same request, not create a second purchase. Supplier rejections enter a decision queue before an alternative source is contacted.

  • Keep partial acceptance visible
  • Preserve an audit trail for reroutes
04

Bring the shipments back together

Shopify fulfillments are associated with particular items and locations. Return each supplier’s dispatch evidence to the appropriate shipment and preserve outstanding lines. Customer messaging should explain separate packages without marking unshipped items as complete.

  • Match tracking to actual shipped quantities
  • Distinguish cancellation requested from confirmed

BEFORE YOU START

The useful questions.

What is possible depends on your data, existing systems and the way your business works.

Can one order be split across suppliers?

Yes, when locations, line quantities and supplier workflows are configured appropriately. Purchasing and tracking need to preserve the same split.

Does the lowest item price always win?

No. Your rule can prioritize landed cost, service level or fewer parcels, using the cost and availability data you actually have.

What happens when a supplier rejects a line?

The rejection should pause that request. Staff or an approved fallback rule can select a different source after checking duplicate-order risk.

Can I approve routing before sending orders?

Yes. A recommendation-only stage lets your team review decisions before enabling approved automatic transmission.
