Turn a messy supplier catalog into organized Shopify products.
A distributor spreadsheet is a starting point, not a finished storefront. Anyweb maps identifiers, images, variants and technical fields into controlled Shopify batches, with reviewable errors and clear rules for future updates.

Start with the source you have

01
Profile the source before importing
Review representative records from every major product family. Identify missing identifiers, duplicate rows, pack-size differences and image permissions. Define which problems block a listing and which can be corrected with an agreed mapping, rather than treating every source row as ready to sell.
02
Build a stable product model
Separate master products from variants, map supplier codes to your own identifiers and normalize units. Category assignments should reflect how buyers shop, not merely the supplier’s internal department names. Technical attributes can feed filters when the source consistently supports them.
03
Protect the fields your team owns
Create a field-ownership policy for titles, images, descriptions and categories. Shopify CSV overwrites can clear supplied blank fields, while productSet list updates have replacement behavior. The import must distinguish missing data from intentional removal and preserve approved merchant overrides.

04
Use batches with a recovery plan
Preview counts and representative changes before applying a batch. Keep import identifiers and per-record outcomes so a retry does not create duplicates. Respect Shopify API limits and source constraints; a large catalog needs scheduling, reconciliation and exception handling rather than an unlimited-throughput promise.
FROM IDEA TO A WORKING PROCESS
A clear path through the work.
Each step makes the dependencies, decisions and handoffs visible.
01
Assess a representative sample
Check structure, rights, identifiers, variants and data quality.
02
Review a mapped batch
Inspect normalized products, excluded rows and protected fields.
03
Import and reconcile
Create approved drafts, record outcomes and resolve exceptions before expansion.

What is possible depends on your data, existing systems and the way your business works.
Can you handle a large catalog?
We scope the record count, variants, media and update cadence, then test representative batches. API limits and data quality determine the practical approach.
Will updates overwrite my edits?
Only fields assigned to the supplier feed should update automatically. A defined ownership map and preview help protect descriptions, images and local merchandising changes.
What if the supplier changes columns?
Schema checks can stop the affected batch and report the mismatch. Unknown columns or changed meanings should not silently map into live product fields.
Can the catalog stay in draft?
Yes. Imported products can remain drafts until required facts, images and categories are approved. Publication is an explicit step, not an unavoidable side effect.
